The Emperor: Name a time your muse has broken the rules.
“Ehhh, well I stole once…” Calisto says as she stares up at the ceiling, considering what delicate way to explain her “un-knightly” actions. “I mean, we were kind of desperate. This happened after, um… My home was destroyed…” Her eyes flicker for a moment before she continues. “I had met Kal and his family in Lindblum, and we were living together as one whole dysfunctional family.
"Kal’s wife had just given birth to their children only a few months ago, and money was really tight for us. So when Linblum was struck, things became even worse in terms of living condition. The soldiers of Lindblum had to start giving out rations to everyone, and there were so many refugees and homeless citizens strewn about everywhere in the districts.
"Some of the soldiers were friendly enough, but most you could tell didn’t want to help the burmecian folk out. One guy in particular was witholding food from us.
"So one night, I went out and snuck into one of the warehouses. There were guards standing on duty inside, so I had to get in through the upper windows. It was a moment where I was thankful to have the ability to jump so high.
"And if you think I weren’t caught stealing, think again.” Calisto chuckled. “As I was picking up a sack of grains on the floor, one of the guards had spotted me. I hightailed it! But I also noticed that I wasn’t the only one there… A man wearing a bandanna, and two men wearing clawed gauntlets were stealing food as well. We exchanged looks between each other, and without a word they knew what to do.
"They threw something on the ground, and the whole building was covered in smoke! It wasn’t fire, but perhaps some odd sort of stage magic?
"Anyways, I took the chance and leapt outside the window, holding onto the sack of goods as though it ‘twer something precious to me.
"And considering that it were for my makeshift family, I guess it was.” She smiled fondly. “Stealing isn’t something I’m proud of, but I’d do it for them again if I ever had to.”
