Occupation: Lancer, Burmecian Dragoon Knight in training.

Personality: Calisto is a light-hearted individual who, even after tragedy, maintains a mostly cheerful and hopeful disposition. She is somewhat wise for her years, but at the same time most obviously a young teenage girl.

History: After Burmecia was razed by Alexandria, Calisto fled her home town in complete desperation. Her family was slain by Alexandrian soldiers, as well as much of her friends and mentors. Having no where else to go, she fled on her own, with not much else but a lance and a set of armor retrieved from her father's armory.

Rather than fleeing to Cleyra as many survivor's chose to, she instead decided to head to Lindblum to try and find help. As luck would have it, she met up with Ser Fratley and Prince Puck on her way to Gizamaluke's Grotto. The two traveled with her for as long as they could before seperating.

On her own, she somehow managed to make it to the lower gates of Lindblum. It was a difficult journey, slaying monsters that would spawn from the mists, and dealing with some other annoyances on the way.

It was during that time, in a near-death encounter, that she learnt that she had a special magic; a magic that only Dragoon Knights could aquire. In her hour of need, she used the ability "Azure Tempest," and completely annihilated the threat. Ever since then she hasn't found out how she performed the feate, but it's driven her farther to honing her abilities as a Dragoon Knight in training.

Now and Recent History: After managing to settle in with a family of Burmecian refugees in Lindblum, Calisto joins in an effort to rebuild Burmecia. It is then that she finally meets Freya and, once again, Ser Fratley. In usual fashion, she fawns over them, begging Freya to be her mentor and to help rebuild the Dragoon Knights of Burmecia. Freya is reluctant of the idea at first, but after many attempts of begging, she agrees to begin in the restoration of Burmecian tradition.

As of now, Calisto is training under the guidance of Freya and occasionally Ser Fratley.

Verses:

v: Distant Worlds - Strange portals have been appearing in the Evil Forest. Calisto happens to accidentally pass through one of them, finding out the hard way that traversing to a different world is indeed possible. After her first run in with Krizalid of Tyria, she eventually finds out that she can openly travel between her world and the next, with no known consequence. Now she often “hops” between worlds as a way to temporarily evade responsibilities.

Current headcanon is that time does not pass in Gaia when she is in another land.

v: Atomos’ Legacy - Similar to Distant Worlds. The only difference here is that someone may be visiting her home world instead by similar or unknown means.

v: Of Tragedies Past - A verse that may happen during the most recent war between Alexandria and Burmecia. Angsty.

v: Dragon Song - I often refer to as “the present.” This takes place at the end of Final Fantasy IX - or a year after Zidane “disappears.” During this verse, Burmecia is coming along in its progress of restoration. Most buildings have been repaired, and supposedly it will be less than a year before Burmecia is back to normal again (thanks to the assistance of Lindblum and Alexandria).

v: Searching - Takes place 4 years in the future. Calisto is now eighteen years old - searching for King Puck who has for some reason gone missing. In her search she has become mostly nomadic, obsessing over every last clue of his where-abouts…

Headcannons and other things: I LOVE the voices of the Burmecians in Oculynx's FF9 Fan Dub. I personally headcannon Burmecians with a strong Irish accent (ugh it's just too perfect).

Inspirations: I kind of based Calisto's attitude very much on Arya Stark. Childish but forced to grow up prematurely in a way.
